Perfect Ten is delighted to announce Blues guitarist, singer-songwriter Emanuel Casablanca in performance at Park Theater, 723 Warren Street on Friday, August 16 at 8 PM. All proceeds from ticket sales of this concert will benefit Perfect Ten After School.
Emanuel Casablanca is an ideal example of an artist who possesses the ability, ingenuity, and passion that drives him to succeed. The Hudson/Brooklyn-based singer/ songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and human rights advocate has worked with an array of A-list performers throughout his career: among them such luminaries as bassist and producer Bill Laswell, drummer Daxx Nielsen of Cheap Trick, vocalist Bernard Fowler, a touring member of the Rolling Stones, and bassist Doug Wimbish of Living Colour. Emanuel’s sophomore album STRUNG OUT ON THRILLS was released earlier this year and one of the videos was filmed in Ghent, Claverack, Hudson, Philmont and Mellenville. Performing with Emanuel on August 16th will be Randall Martin on drums and Anthony Geathers on bass.
Casablanca’s decision to donate proceeds from the Park Theater show to PTen stems from his support of human rights and social justice. “As someone who has not only supported and worked in philanthropy over the last decade, I come from the same communities and have faced some of the same hardships many of these young ladies may also find themselves vulnerable to. I think providing opportunities for all human beings, especially young women who are the future and will produce our world’s future, is crucial.”
